Reduced Cost – Oyster Roast Tickets

Wow!  We can’t believe summer has peaked, and fall is quickly approaching.  BUT, that means that the annual Watermen’s Museum Oyster Roast is just a few weeks away.  On September 14th, we will host the Best Festival on the Peninsula.  We’ll be serving great Chesapeake Bay food from 12-3 PM.  But, don’t just take our word for it; we were voted as the Best Festival Event for 2019 by the readers of Coastal Virginia Magazine.  (We actually got 8 awards…but that’s another story about how great our little Museum really is.  Become a member and you will experience all the other reasons, too.)

But, back to the Oyster Roast…our event is probably your first opportunity of the season for you to indulge yourself in the wonderful experience of an All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) oyster festivity this year.  And, as we all know Chesapeake Bay oysters are America’s best oysters!  So, don’t miss out!

With your Oyster Lover admission ticket, you will get the opportunity to partake in eating an unlimited number of raw and roasted oysters from our very own Chesapeake Bay (multiple providers will give you surprisingly different flavor profiles.).  In addition, you will be be able to eat as many bowls of ‘homemade’ (made on-site by our own little hands) clam chowder, hot dogs, and Carrot Tree Kitchens’ side dishes and desserts as you would like.  And, we will give you a beverage of your choice with the meal (Additional beverages are available for purchase.).

Folks that consider themselves Virginia Lovers…but not of Oysters lovers… can get their fill on all of the other wonderful items we have on the menu for the day, at a reduced price..

Kids…well, kids 6 to 13-and-under have a reduced rate, too.  But, we have to draw the line at the older teenagers.  As we all know, those critters can eat you out of house and home in a matter of seconds. So, because this is a fundraiser for the Museum, we must charge adult prices for our 14 and over teenage oyster and non-oyster connoisseurs just to ensure we can break even on costs.

Toddlers and other little tykes 5-and-under get to eat for free.  And, ’cause we know they can be a bit persnickety when it comes to eating, they can have anything from the menu that you adult folk can get them to eat.

So, where can you get tickets and how much money can I save by buying early.?  We’re glad you asked.  Here’s the rundown…
